EMMANUEL MWISAKA MAYANZA
Emmanuel works as the head teacher of our English language department. "My department is meant to improve the English Language skills of learners to acquire it as their second language on top of their mother tongue. By the end of 2016, we hoped to make learners achieve all four skills: Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening; also we would like to use English practically in application of the four skills." Emma will achieve this through debate, drama, grammatical skills and special summer coursework with international interns in 2017.
His plans for the future include more performance arts in English language for students and public speaking: "I wish to hold open-air speeches and debate so that people in the community may know the issues affecting their society." His dreams of inclusivity with Bududa residents is a trait the management team shares and we will be happy to implement some of Emmanuel's new ideas in the coming years. "The institution has brought about development in the district and Uganda as a whole by creating employment opportunities and improving staff welfare. When I am out of the office, I would like to acquire more skills in computer application." He hopes to be a champion of vocational disciplines offered at Bududa Vocational Academy in the future and to specialise further in his linguistic expertise.
