Mildred will open a new hair-dressing department, offered as the first of its kind in Bududa in summer of 2017. As the head teacher, she is looking forward to leading a new vocational course, and creating a network of hairdressers and stylists who can find income. She says that producing hairdressers as "women who can be self-reliant" is an issue close to her heart. Mildred is passionate about producing students who will graduate to be independent and take care of their families as strong women. Our hair-dressing department will be open to both male and female students. However, Bududa Learning Center will encourage enrollment by enterprising young women.
